They say ‘opposites attract.’ Are you as different from your spouse as I am? Especially in times of stress, our differences can cause us to live in clanging dissonance. But when we honor each other’s differences, we live in a spirit of harmony.
We’re Covid-drained, done with distancing, crazed for company, and becoming immune to news headlines that include the adjectives ‘alarming,’ ‘catastrophic,’ and ‘tragic.’ We had to do something different before we lost our minds. So we created an uncommon date – a park bench date.
I’m thankful for the ah-ha moments God orchestrates in my life. One that was so helpful to me was “if it’s in my heart, it’s on my face!”
I usually follow a pattern when something’s bothering me. I go to my Father and ask Him for guidance. I thought I would share them with you.
God, be gracious to Bruce and I and bless us, look on us with kindness. We don’t ask this for selfish reasons, but so that our marriage could be a guide to Your way, so that all who know us would read Your redemption story between the lines of our marriage.
