Heaven’s dream for us is to become God’s Masterpiece, no matter what our struggles are, what occurs in our lives, and where we find ourselves. When we tie the knot we imagine happily ever after. But sometimes things don’t turn out the way we expected. How can we turn this around to become God’s Masterpiece?
A marriage mission statement was in order. We were new Christians, already launched into parenting teens while navigating what it meant to have a relationship with Jesus. Our simple statement became our compass during those pivotal years.
As I look around at today’s culture, I don’t see a lot of compelling examples of respect. No wonder it’s so difficult to respect our spouses. What should respect look like in marriage?
