That day when my thoughts go from, “we have so much in common” to “we are nothing alike!” And our differences Can. Be. So. Annoying. Is it really possible that God’s Grace makes us different?
We hate Monday’s and love Friday’s because of hope. Drink a dose of godly hope today and say something hopeful and life-giving to your hubby.
I love summer and beautiful gardens but I don’t love gardening. Who really likes pulling those pesky weeds? I like “weeding” my soul even less than my garden. But if I want beautiful fruit in my marriage, I’ve got to get on my knees to weed my soul.
God knows I will sometimes struggle with thinking positively about my spouse. How about you? If you made a list of all the wonderful qualities of your mate, would your list be ‘vast?’ God’s list would be! He thinks the world of your spouse.
The golem effect is when low expectations lead to poor performance. Don’t be a golem, instead be a highlighter. Constantly search for the good in your husband and watch him shine.
Are you in God’s Waiting Room? Waiting for God is the hardest. You have prayed for peace in your marriage and believe God wants that for you. But nothing is changing. The waiting is getting intolerable. But, maybe, God has a purpose for the waiting other than just biding your time.
