It’s just Monday, even on Marriage Monday, its just an ordinary day. And that’s ok.
Super busy today, can you relate? I’m sure you can.
Got up early for some reason, even though we “sprang ahead” yesterday for daylight time savings. Lots of projects happening this week besides the normal crazy. So early was good.
Planning a Date Night for our church campus on Saturday so there are lots of lists floating around the house. I’m really enjoying having Bruce home to help with the admin part of leading a marriage team!
How many days of the year are really just ordinary days? Most of them actually. But it’s in the rushing through the myriad mostly ordinary days that God shows up in small and sometimes big ways.
- I got to sneak out and take a glorious walk in the warming air, listening to the recently-returned robins.
- God showed me some insights as He usually does. I stopped by the river in our park to gaze at the water and listen to His voice (the sound of many waters).
- Got a haircut for my newly “undyed” hair. Loving the inexpensive and chemical free visits with Jacqui, even though we get less time together. She is like a family member after all these years. Love her!
- Thought about conversations we had in the church lobby yesterday and reflected on how grateful I am for our health. Some friends are dealing with scary diagnoses. Thankful we have experience with the “C” word and can offer some encouragement.
That’s about it. Nothing extraordinary. Just a not-so-ordinary, ordinary marriage monday.
Blessings!
