Meet Mentor Marnie – BSE is her baby
Marnie Swedberg has been a mentor to me from afar for about 7 years now. I’m looking forward to the day when I can meet her in person. Let me introduce you!
Marnie is the author of 13 books, founder/director of Bible Study Expo and Womenspeakers.com, and host of a #1 ranked & featured Blog Talk show, Perspective
I first heard about Marnie when I was searching for more training as a speaker. I loved listening to her weekly blog talk show, and learned so much about being a speaker, author, leader, and so much more.
I became a member of Womenspeakers.com (my listing). I was also featured in her Blog Talk show, sharing about how I started my blog in Blogging Outside the Box.
And in 2017 I was so happy to be part of Bible Study Expo, sharing the story behind the story of my first book, Making Peace with Prickly People.
So now you know why Marnie is such a special person to me. I have grown and learned so much because of her generous sharing. Marnie is one of those people who sparkles with God’s love. You can hear it in her voice and see it in the twinkle of her eye. She gives above and beyond and you just can’t help doing the same when you are around her.
10th Anniversary of Bible Study Expo
In just a few days, the 10th anniversary of Bible Study Expo will be underway. The Expo is online and completely free. In fact, if you register ahead of time, you will be entered in drawings to win copies of the Bible studies they will be featuring this year.
Along with the streaming Expo, there will be Facebook and Twitter parties going on where you can ask questions and get more input from party hostesses.
During the Expo, 10 authors of new Bible studies will be interviewed by Marnie. You will hear the story of how the study came to be written, what the intended audience is, and lots more.
I am always shopping around for new and relevant Bible studies for the groups I lead. So I love this chance every March to hear about the latest. There is a lot of information given in a short amount of time, so to help you, I prepared a cheat sheet that you can print out ahead of time. It contains boxes for you to take notes about each book, along with the author’s name and website address.
After the Expo is over, the archives will still be live. So you can always go back and check out previous years. I did cheat sheets for 2016 and 2017, I put links down below in case you want them too.
