“If you’re brave enough to say goodbye, life will reward you with a new hello.” Paulo Coehlo thinks it takes courage to walk out on a relationship. I think it takes more courage to stay and make it work. Are you wondering how to fall in love again? There just may be an app for that!
We know how to fall out of love
The divorce rate is holding steady just below 50%. For first marriages. It’s 67% for second marriages and 74% for third marriages. It seems we know how to fall out of love.
As marriage mentors, we work with couples from our church who are doing the courageous thing and working through their troubles. They are committed to marriage and have asked for help in getting to where they want to be.
It’s always encouraging to meet a couple who have invested themselves in working through the mess. That’s more than half the battle. When two people are willing to say we need help and we are committed to doing whatever is necessary, then success is pretty much guaranteed.
At our church, we use the Prepare & Enrich assessment tool with our couples. You can visit the website for more information or to find a mentor near you.

I’m always on the lookout for the latest book on marriage or a useful tool. I recently heard about a marriage app for my smart phone. I downloaded it and started using it. It is wonderful, fun, creative, and blesses my husband. A win-win all around.
To get you started, here are some Christian marriage apps that I found – you might enjoy one of them.
- The 5 Love Languages for Android or iphone (free)
- The Love Dare Day by Day for iphone (free)
- Two Ignite for iphone (free)
- Loving Her (for men) for iphone (free)
- Honoring Him (for women) for iphone (free)
- The Marriage App for iphone (free) – this is the one I use.
Using a tool like an app helps me because I sometimes need creative ideas and conversation starters. It helps us keep our marriage fresh and vibrant. It seems that the stuff of life crowds in and the noise of life drowns out.
Using a tool like an app just might help you push back the stuff and quiet the noise, and fall in love again.
