Marriage-like life-is a marathon. The only way you’re going to make it to the finish line is by keeping your eyes on the prize.
We were married on Labor Day weekend, and marriage is labor! Work at oneness, humility, respect, and love. Focus on changing me, not him! Before you know it you’ll be in this season of intense satisfaction. Celebrating 41 years today with my partner in this race.
Doesn’t matter where you are in your marriage – barely begun, in the middle, in the last lap, or even in do-over marriage, it’s never too late to go for the prize. We didn’t start taking it seriously until our 19th year of marriage. You can do it too!
“Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win!”
